Walgops is under fire from Amazon, which wants to block access to a popular pharmacy in its catalog.
The pharmacy, in the popular San Francisco suburb of Fremont, is part of the pharmacy network of Walgop in the Bay Area.
Amazon is currently the second largest online retailer in the country, with more than 2.2 billion monthly active users.
The company said in a filing last week that it will begin enforcing a new anti-competitive terms and conditions, which it says it will enforce by imposing restrictions on Walgarts access to Amazon, the company that owns the pharmacy.
Walgco says it is confident that the new terms will prevent Amazon from using its business as a substitute for its own pharmacy.
Amazon said it would not be making any further comments on the matter.
The Walgros and Walgwalts are the only two Walgrop pharmacies in the region, along with two others that sell medical supplies.
The two Walbros and two Walwalts that sell pharmacy supplies, including vitamins, will also be affected.
Walgreen and Walgreen Pharmacy are the two largest pharmacy chains in the United States, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, with approximately 8,000 stores in the U.S.
