A woman in her 60s was shot and killed by a man who pulled out a gun and opened fire on her in Walmart’s pharmacy on Friday afternoon.
The shooting took place in the Walmart Pharmacy at 7:30pm, before 2:00am (AEDT).
“I got out of the car and I saw the man, and I started to run.
I got in the car, I ran and I got to the pharmacy, and he shot me in the head,” she said.”
He didn’t know what to do, he said ‘I’ll take your wallet, I’ll take my credit card’.””
I had no choice but to leave the pharmacy,” she continued.”
I didn’t think it would be this close to home.
He was really angry, he was yelling at me and saying ‘I’m gonna kill you’.”
He got me out of there, he ran out and I called 911.
They were able to get me out there and get me to hospital.
“She is now recovering at the Alfred hospital in Melbourne.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident to contact Crime Stoppers.
