The grocery chain will open a new store in the Food City pharmacy chain in Atlanta that is expected to feature organic ingredients.
The chain will use its Food City brand name, which it first launched in 2014.
The store will be part of the new Food City Pharmacy in the Atlanta neighborhood of Marietta.
The chain already operates a number of stores in Atlanta and its Atlanta branch, located at 611 W. Mariettte Road, is the largest in the city.
“We’re excited to announce the opening of our new Food Cities pharmacy in Atlanta,” said Michael Stacey, executive vice president of retail operations for The New York-based chain.
“This is a great opportunity for the Food Cities brand and its employees to provide high quality products at competitive prices.”
In addition to the Food cities brand, The New Yorkers will be using its Food Cities retail brand, which has seen an expansion in recent years and includes brands including the Fresh Food chain, the Fresh Outdoors brand, and the Greenmarket brand.
The Food Cities stores are slated to open in early 2018.
