I have no idea why, but I do have one thing in common with many of my friends who watch a lot of TV: they all have the exact same thing in mind.
When they say something like “Hey, I’m watching Game of Thrones and I love how it’s playing” or “I want to watch the new season of Homeland” or, even more hilariously, “I just want to be with my best friend all week long” it feels like they’ve got something in common.
And when you have friends who don’t have any of those things in common, they are less likely to like you.
I’m going to share the thing that keeps me from watching Game Of Thrones all week, though.
It’s not because I’m not enjoying it, it’s not about the characters or the plot, it just isn’t what I want to do with my time.
This is what keeps me up at night, and what keeps my friends up at nights.
