The Walgens pharmacy in Walworth, Florida, has shut down for good after a medical emergency caused its shelves to overflow.
The pharmacy said on Monday that its customers were notified of the issue, which it attributed to the release of the flu vaccine.
“As a precautionary measure, we are temporarily shutting down our pharmacy to maintain the safety of our customers,” the company said in a statement.
“The Walgarts team will be working closely with the medical staff at the local hospital to determine the cause of this emergency.
This is not a public health issue and we ask that you please respect the privacy of our patients.

The Walgreen drugstore chain said its pharmacy in the US, in Walnut Creek, California, had experienced “multiple” cases of “a possible influenza infection in its employees”.
“The situation is currently under control and we will continue to closely monitor this situation,” it said.
